Production on A24's film adaptation of Richard Wright's novel Native Son began last month in Cleveland, Ohio. The camera crew led by cinematographer Matthew Libatique, ASC, prepped out of Camtec LA early last month. The Native Son team looks to do the iconic role of Bigger Thomas justice on the big screen by employing a selection of glass including Todd-AO anamorphics and the signature Camtec Vintage Series Ultra Primes. Libatique is a long time friend and client having previously employed our services on films such as Straight Outta Compton (2015), A Star is Born (2018), and Venom (2018).
